Being active is an important part of maintaining health. Physical activity is anything that gets your body moving. Everyday, adults and children should do activities that both increase heart rate and strengthen muscles.
For important Health Benefits:
Adults need at least 2 hours and 30 min of moderate-intensity aerobic activity (like brisk walking) every week OR 1 hour and 15 minutes of high-intensity aerobic activity (OR a combination)
AND
Muscle-strengthening activities on 2 or more days a week that work all major muscle groups (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders, and arms)
